We do both steps. Most online notary platforms only do one.

Notarize, Proof, BlueNotary and NotaryCam will notarize your document online and hand it back to you. You are then still responsible for getting it apostilled — which means finding a second company, in Florida, who can physically walk it into the Department of State in Tallahassee.

Online Florida Apostille does both in one transaction. We perform the Remote Online Notarization, our own Tallahassee ground team hand-delivers the document to the Florida Department of State, we pay the state fee, and we ship the finished apostille back to you. One company, one flat price, one point of contact if anything goes wrong.

60-Second Decision Guide — Is Florida RON Apostille Right for You?

Choose RON apostille if you can answer yes to all four:

  • You have a valid U.S. driver license or U.S. state ID from any state
  • You have a U.S. Social Security Number with an established U.S. credit history
  • Your document needs notarization — not a vital record like a birth certificate
  • Your destination country accepts electronically notarized apostilles

If yes to all, RON is your fastest path: apostilled next business day, delivered in 3 business days, $299 flat, no shipping originals. If no to any, call (954) 999-4933 or text (850) 900-2203 and we will point you to the right service.

Already have a digital or court-certified document? If it is already validly certified electronically — a court record or similar digital original — you do not need a RON session at all. Email it to us and we apostille it for $199. See Email Us Your Document.

What Is a Florida RON Apostille?

A Florida RON apostille is a document that has been notarized via Remote Online Notarization (a video session with a Florida-commissioned notary) and then authenticated by the Florida Department of State with an apostille certificate. The apostille verifies the notary authority for use in any of the 124 Hague Convention member countries.

Remote Online Notarization is fully authorized under Florida Statute 117.265, enacted in 2020. RON-notarized documents carry identical legal weight to wet-ink notarizations and are accepted by the Florida Department of State for apostille authentication. See also notarized vs. apostilled.

How Long a Florida Apostille Really Takes

In current practice, apostille requests filed at the Florida Department of State are completed the next business day after drop-off, even though same-day walk-in service is officially available. This affects every apostille company in Florida, not just us. Many competitors have not updated their websites to reflect it.

Our RON service is built around that rule. Because your document is notarized electronically, there is no inbound shipping step at all: your apostille is obtained the next business day after your RON session, and the only remaining time is the courier run back to you — 3 business days in total to a U.S. address.

Who Needs a Florida RON Apostille?

How It Works, Step by Step

Step 1 — Complete your RON notarization online

Connect securely with a commissioned Florida notary via a state-approved audiovisual platform. Your document is notarized electronically in minutes — no travel, no mailing of originals. You can participate from anywhere in the United States or internationally, provided you meet the identity verification requirements below.

Step 2 — Same-day submission to Tallahassee

Because your document is notarized electronically, we eliminate the inbound shipping day entirely. Your notarized document is submitted in person to the Florida Department of State Apostille Division the same day it is notarized.

Step 3 — Next-business-day apostille

Our Tallahassee ground team collects your completed, state-authenticated apostille the next business day. This is the fastest legally compliant turnaround available under Florida current third-party apostille rules.

Step 4 — Overnight FedEx delivery

Your apostilled document ships via Overnight FedEx the same day it is picked up, and we email you a digital copy. Most U.S. clients receive their completed apostille within 3 business days of their RON session.

Shipping outside the United States. The $299 flat rate includes Overnight FedEx delivery to any address in the lower 48 states. If you need your finished apostille delivered to an address outside the United States, FedEx International Priority is quoted at cost and billed in addition to the $299. We confirm the exact shipping amount with you before we process anything — there is never a surprise charge. International transit also adds a little time beyond the 3-business-day domestic timeline.

Do You Qualify? Identity Verification Requirements

To use Florida RON apostille service you must have a valid U.S. driver license or U.S. state-issued photo ID, a U.S. Social Security Number with established U.S. credit history, and a stable internet connection with a webcam. These requirements are mandated by Florida Statute 117.265 and cannot be waived.

Florida RON statute requires Knowledge-Based Authentication, a legally required identity verification step completed before notarization begins. It uses your U.S. Social Security Number and credit history to generate five personal challenge questions that only you can answer. No notary or apostille service can waive it.

Required 1 — U.S. driver license or state ID, front and back

You must upload both the front and back of a current, unexpired U.S. driver license or state-issued photo ID from any U.S. state. Expired IDs, paper temporary IDs and non-U.S. identification are not accepted by Florida RON system.

Required 2 — U.S. Social Security Number with established credit history

The KBA system uses your credit file to generate five personal challenge questions — addresses you have lived at, accounts you have held. Without an established credit history on file, the system cannot generate enough verifiable questions and the session cannot proceed. New U.S. residents and applicants without prior U.S. credit activity typically cannot pass KBA.

Do not have a U.S. SSN, U.S. driver license, or established credit history? We may have alternative pathways depending on your circumstances. Call (954) 999-4933, text (850) 900-2203, or email OnlineFloridaApostille@gmail.com to discuss options.

Two Different Services — Pick the Right One

This page is for documents NOT yet notarized. We do the online notarization and the apostille together: $299 first document, $75 each additional, about 3 business days.

Already notarized online by a Florida RON notary, including by another company? You do not need this package. We simply apostille what you have: $199 first document, $75 each additional, about 4 business days, returned FedEx 2-Day. Call 954-999-4933.

How Much Does a Florida RON Apostille Cost?

Delivery outside the United States is billed at cost in addition to the $299.

Note: government-issued vital records — birth, marriage and death certificates and divorce decrees — do not require notarization and follow our standard Florida apostille service.

Does Your Destination Country Accept RON Apostilles?

Frequently Asked Questions

How fast can I get a Florida apostille with RON?

Your apostille is obtained the next business day after your RON session. Most U.S. clients receive the finished document within 3 business days: submitted the same day as notarization, apostilled the next business day, shipped Overnight FedEx the same day it is picked up. International deliveries take slightly longer in transit.

How much does a Florida RON apostille cost?

$299 flat for the first document, including the RON session, the Florida state apostille fee and Overnight FedEx anywhere in the lower 48 states. Each additional document is $100. Delivery outside the United States is billed at cost in addition, quoted and confirmed before we process anything.

Do I have to pay extra to ship my apostille to another country?

Yes. The $299 covers Overnight FedEx anywhere in the lower 48 states. If your finished apostille needs to go to an address outside the United States, FedEx International Priority is billed at cost on top of the $299. We tell you the exact amount before you pay and never add it silently at checkout.

Can I just email you my document instead?

If your document is already validly certified in electronic form, such as an electronically certified court record, then yes. There is nothing to notarize, so no RON session is needed. Email it to us and we apostille it for $199, obtained the next business day, plus return shipping time.

Why do I need a U.S. SSN for Florida RON notarization?

Florida RON statute mandates Knowledge-Based Authentication, which uses your U.S. Social Security Number to generate five personal identity challenge questions from your credit file. This is set by Florida law and cannot be waived. If you do not have a U.S. SSN, call or text us to discuss your options.

Can I use Florida RON apostille from outside the United States?

Yes, from anywhere in the world, provided you have a valid U.S. driver license or state ID, a U.S. SSN with established U.S. credit history, and a stable internet connection. The requirement is that you are a U.S. person with a U.S. credit file, not that you are physically in the United States. Confirm your destination country accepts electronically notarized apostilles before ordering.

I am in Asia and your hours do not work for me. Can you still help?

Yes. Text us at (850) 900-2203 and we will arrange a RON session outside our posted Eastern Time hours. Text is the most reliable way to reach us from a distant time zone.

Do I need to be physically in Florida?

No. Remote Online Notarization can be performed from anywhere in the world. The notary must be commissioned in Florida, but the signer can be located in any U.S. state or internationally, as long as the identity verification requirements are met.

What happened to same-day Florida apostille service?

The Florida Department of State permanently ended same-day third-party apostille pickup in 2025. All providers must now drop off documents one day and collect them the next business day. Our RON service still delivers in 3 business days total, far faster than any mail-in alternative.

Is Florida RON notarization legally valid?

Yes. Fully authorized under Florida Statute 117.265, enacted in 2020. RON-notarized documents carry identical legal weight to wet-ink notarizations and are fully accepted by the Florida Department of State for apostille authentication.

Can a birth certificate be RON apostilled in Florida?

No. Government-issued vital records do not require notarization and cannot use RON. These follow our standard apostille pathway. See our Florida Birth Certificate Apostille Guide.
